A working delegation from Hoa Binh province led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh is attending a programme to popularise Vietnamese products in the US and Canada on April 20-28.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aims at
introducing Hoa Binh province’s potential, strengths, and investment climate to
lure investments in the areas of processing, supporting industry, hi-tech
agriculture and eco-tourism from the two American countries.
Besides, local standout farm produce and OCOP
products are also introduced at the programme, helping enterprises and
cooperatives enhance cooperation and trade connectivity, as well as expand
markets.
As planned, the delegation will have working
sessions with Vietnamese diplomatic agencies in the US and Canada, and meet
with local leaders. They will attend conferences on investment, trade, tourism
and economic diplomacy to bring Hoa Binh’s images closer to the international
community.
Currently, Luong Son district counts 905 business establishments operating in industry and handicraft, helping generate jobs and stable incomes for local labourers.
Hoa Binh scored the highest points in two out of the eight indicators of the Public Administrative Reform (PAR) Index ranking in 2023 that the Ministry of Home Affairs announced on April 17.
