In recent years, alongside with paying attention to infrastructure, high-tech agriculture, services, and tourism development, Cao Phong district has focused on effectively exploiting its advantages to enhance investment attraction.

AGroup corporation starts construction of Lakeside Village project in Thung Nai commune, Cao Phong.

Cao Phong is envisioned to become an economic and cultural centre in the western region of the province. Therefore, the district has concentrated on planning and managing work, allocating significant resources to gradually modernise infrastructure system while improving the efficiency of land clearance for projects. These are the three breakthroughs defined by the district Party Committee in Resolution No. 02-NQ/HU aimed at improving its investment environment and enhancing competitiveness for the 2021-2025 period. Focus has been placed on establishing supportive mechanisms and policies to attract investment in tourism development, creating favourable conditions for organisations and enterprises investing in tourism in the locality.

In March, AGroup started construction of Lakeside Village, a 5-star wellness tourism project, the first of its kind in the Hoa Binh lake area. According to the approved plan, Lakeside Village is part of the Hoa Binh Lake national tourist complex, located in Binh Thanh and Thung Nai communes (Cao Phong). It is expected to host the Miss National Vietnam 2024 beauty pageant in October this year.

Ta Van Manh, head of the district's Finance - Planning Division, said that over the past years, Cao Phong has invested in a synchronised and modern transportation system, which is considered a lever to turn it into a new tourism hub, attracting not only tourists but also investors to the district.

The district has devised a comprehensive tourism development plan, focusing on key items such as Binh Thanh - Thung Nai – Da River reservoir tourism route and Hoa Binh lake eco-tourism site.

Attention has also been paid to industrial development. Competent agencies have suggested the district People's Committee coordinate with investors to finalise legal documents regarding industrial cluster infrastructure.

In addition, the district has lured investors to urban areas with synchronised technical and transport infrastructure, along with quality living spaces, contributing to creating new facelift for Cao Phong.

To speed up investment attraction in various fields, the district has offered the most favourable conditions for investors, especially in land clearance and administrative reform, maximising the implementation of administrative procedures in the electronic environment. Professional skill training for officials and public servants working at one-stop divisions will be strengthened to enhance citizens and businesses’ satisfaction.

With its potential and advantages, coupled with the determination of the Party Committee and local authorities in attracting investment, Cao Phong is expected to become a destination for investors.
