Hoa Binh city has allocated 654 million VND (nearly 26.200 USD) for supporting the protection and sustainable development of 507ha of natural forest to carry out Project 3 on sustainably developing agricultural and forestry production to tap into the potential and advantages of regions to produce goods in value chains.
The move aims to help with
reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protecting the environment, preventing and
controlling natural disasters, and fighting climate change.
In addition, the city earmarked 736 million VND
for the maintenance of five roads and irrigation canals. It also spent more
than 3.8 billion VND on assisting local households to develop production in
value chains and models.
In 2024, key agricultural exports from Hoa Binh province are expected to continue, benefiting from growing demand. Several local products have been exported under international orders since the start of the year. The agricultural sector is working with local businesses and producers to ensure adequate supply for export, while also expanding the domestic market.
A working delegation from Hoa Binh province led by Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Chuong held a working session with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (ThaiCham) on the sidelines of the "Meet Thailand" event co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Thai Embassy, and the People's Committee of Lao Cai province on August 28 in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.
Despite impacts from the complicated developments in the region and the world, Hoa Binh saw good signals in import-export activities in the first half of 2024.
Promoting the application of digital technology in new-style rural area building is an important criterion, contributing to the development of agricultural and rural economy, improving people's lives, and gradually narrowing the gap in service quality between rural and urban areas.
Determining industrial development as a driving force for socio-economic development, Lac Thuy district has stepped up the dissemination work to raise awareness of officials, party members, and people of the policy of forming and developing industrial clusters, while developing resolutions and action programmes, and including them in the local socio-economic development planning on promoting the development of these clusters.
With funding from the National Target Programme for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, localities in of Hoa Binh province have invested in essential infrastructure which helps improve local people's lives.
