Yen Thuy district has been maintaining a scale of 34 schools (13 preschools, 8 elementary schools, 5 middle and high schools, 8 middle schools). The district has been focusing on synchronously implementing the solutions to improve the quality of the comprehensive education. In particular, it is necessary to enhance the digital transformation and apply the information technology in management, teaching, and learning, meeting the innovation requirements. It is important to carry out well the planning, using, evaluating, rotating, training, and fostering the officials and employees in the sector.

In the 2023 - 2024 school year, the district mobilized 4,755 out of the 5,864 children in the school-age, reaching 81.08%. The results of child care and nurturing continue to be maintained, ensuring the planned targets; 100% of the children and kindergarten classes receive 2 sessions a day and complete the preschool education program as prescribed.

The district has effectively implemented the 2018 general education program. 6-year-old children entering grade 1 reached 100%; the students completing the 5th grade program reached 99.7%; the students graduating from secondary school reached 99.54%. The career counseling and streamlining for students after graduating from secondary school was well caried out; the digital school records at primary school level were successfully deployed.

The quality of the comprehensive education has changed positively. In the 2023 - 2024 school year, there were 706 excellent students at the district’s level, and at the secondary level there were 56 provincial-level students in the cultural subjects (increasing 4 prizes compared to that of the 2022 - 2023 school year); 100% of the communes and the town have meet the standards for universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, meeting the standards for illiteracy eradication level 2, meeting the standards for universal primary education level 3, meeting the standards for universal secondary education level 3 In the whole district there are 31 out of the 34 schools meeting the national standards, reaching 91.17%.

In 2024, more than 10 billion VND has been spent on education from the local public sector budget. Of which, investing and repairing the school facilities, classrooms, and auxiliary items in the school is about 7.5 billion VND; Investing in purchasing the teaching equipment and supplies, giving priority to the schools included in the plan to assess the quality of education and evaluating the construction of schools meeting the national standards of over 2.8 billion VND.

It is important to promote innovation in teaching methods and application of information technology; Strictly implementing the work of testing, evaluating and commenting on the students’ abilities; Implementing synchronously and drastically the solutions to improve the quality of education and the key quality of the excelent students.
