The stamps, featuring the image of a dog with folk imprints, were designed by painter Pham Ha Hai, who won the competition Folk Material in Lunar New Year Stamp held by the ministry in 2017.

The 37x37mm stamps have been influenced by Vietnamese folk painting. The use of bright and bold colours intends to rouse in people festive feelings and merry wishes for the upcoming Lunar New Year.

The stamps will be used in post offices throughout the country until June next year.
