It was carefully planned and skillfully staged, aiming to highlight the responsibilities and roles of the elderly in building new-style rural areas and civilised urban areas. Notably, 250 cultural and artistic exchange events, and a lot of tournaments in volleyball, table tennis, folk dancing, and health exercises have been held, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere for senior citizens.

In addition, they have proactively coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to create conditions for nearly 8,000 elder people to visit historical sites in the province and neighbouring localities; and maintained meetings to share experiences and creative methods in building strong associations.

Bui Tuan Hai, President of the provincial Association of the Elderly, affirmed that enhancing the cultural and spiritual life of the elderly is one of the key tasks in ensuring the care for them and the promotion of their role.
