Hoa Binh is carried out investment projects to upgrade three district medical centres in Lac Son and Yen Thuy districts and Hoa Binh city. The projects are funded by the central budget under the Economic and Social Recovery and Development Programme, aiming to improve healthcare services. The goal is to gradually develop a system of modern and quality district-level healthcare facilities.

According to Nguyen Van Thuy, Deputy Director of the provincial Project Management Board for Civil and Industrial Construction Projects, the medical centre of Hoa Binh city will have seven stories with a total floor area of over 3,300 square meters. The construction costs are estimated at 25.1 billion VND (986,000 USD), with 4.5 billion VND to be spent on medical equipment. By mid-November, the building was nearly 90% completed, with most systems in place.
Pham Ngoc Khanh, Deputy Director of the Hoa Binh city medical centre, said the public has high expectations for the new facility, which will replace the current two medical centres serving city residents, which are small and old with outdated equipment.
Meanwhile, the medical centres of Yen Thuy and Lac Son districts will have a new five-story building each, along with modern medical equipment.
All the three projects have a total investment of 144 billion VND, and are expected to be completed and operational within December 2024.
