To mark the 115th anniversary of International Women’s Day on March 8, numerous cultural and recreational activities have been organised across the province’s industrial zones. Events such as "Ao Dai Week”, cultural exchanges, and sports competitions have been held to promote female worker engagement and well-being.

Le Thi Nguyet, Vice President of the trade union at CoAsia CM VINA in Luong Son IP, where over 80% of employees are women, said the activities organised for March 8 provide female workers with opportunities to socialise and rejuvenate, ensuring they feel motivated to contribute to business growth.

The provincial industrial zone trade union, which oversees 45 affiliated unions, has introduced a range of initiatives, including health and wellness programmes for female workers. Some prominent activities included the establishment of breastfeeding rooms and childcare facilities at workplaces, as well as awareness campaigns on childcare, family well-being, and work-life balance.

Le Dieu Hoan, Deputy Chairwoman of the provincial Industrial Zone Trade Union, stressed that the contributions of female workers have been instrumental in driving business success. Moving forward, she noted the trade union will continue encouraging employers to implement meaningful initiatives for the group, strengthen oversight of female labour policies, and sustain cultural and recreational activities. The goal is to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive work environment for them.
