Women in My Hoa commune, Kim Boi district performe a mass dance themed "My Hoa commune aspires to reach new heights".

In My Hoa commune, building cultural life in residential areas has been a key task of the commune’s Women's Union and its eight branches for years.

Bui Thi Hue, President of the My Hoa commune Women’s Union said that seeing that improving cultural life in community closely links with the spiritual lives of officials, members, and the people, all branches of the union have actively participated in cultural and sports activities. Currently, all eight branches have established one or two cultural clubs and a women's volleyball team.

During holidays and festivals, the union organises cultural exchanges and sports activities that created joyful atmosphere.

The district union also maintains a model called "Savings from Scrap" that has attracted over 80 members. At the end of each month, the money earned from selling scrap is given to disadvantaged members. The recipients don’t have to return the sum. This model contributes to protecting a green, clean, and beautiful environment while fostering mutual support to help members in need improve their lives.

Moreover, every Saturday, women in Boi Ca hamlet, Nam Thuong commune join cleaning the village roads and plant and care for flower routes near the community cultural centre.

Regarding the role of women in building cultural life through specific and practical activities, Nguyen Thi Khuong, President of the Kim Boi district Women's Union noted that the union’s members have always been the core force, leading in the movements.

In 2024, over 21,000 women officials and members across the district participated emulation movement 'Women Actively Learn, create, and Build Happy Families,' linked with the campaign to cultivate women's moral qualities 'Confident, Respectful, Faithful, and Capable.'"

Women's Unions in communes and towns actively promote the sorting and treatment of household waste, apply models like "Clean Houses, Beautiful Gardens," organise environmental clean-up campaigns, and maintain 27 flower-growing routes. They also sustain 32 "Self-managed Women's Road" models and have built 204 sanitary latrines with a total funding of 120 million VND for poor women, women with disabilities, and single mothers.

Additionally, with various activities such as clubs, contests, themed events, and cultural and sports activities have attracted many women. Last year, the union established six new Muong drum clubs with 240 members.
