(HBO) – Recently, the Department of Education and Training has organized the provincial teaching contest for high school teachers in the school year of 2017-2018. Participating in this contest was 57 typical and outstanding teachers from over 30 high schools in the province. The contest organized 3 subjects of Civic Education, History and Physics.

Participating in the contest, the participants had to pass three exams: the written test, the presentation of the topic and initiatives and a self-selected lesson.

The organizers evaluated that the contest took place seriously, objectively and had an effect on the education, encouragement and condition creation for the teachers at high schools to learn and exchange experience, pedagogies, teaching methods as well as classroom activity organization, especially the exploration of using equipment and teaching tools effectively.

The specific result was that, among 57 teachers participating in the contest, there were 4 teachers achieving the first prizes, 15 teachers achieving the second prizes, 14 third prizes, 13 consolation prizes and 5 teachers were approved to be good teachers at provincial level.

Four teachers achieving the first prizes were Ms. Vu Thi Phuong Thao (History teacher at Hoang Van Thu Gifted High School); Ms. Nguyen Thi To Hoan (Physics teacher at Hoang Van Thu Gifted High School); Mr. Le Duc Thien (physics teacher at Hoang Van Thu Gifted High School); and Mr. Do Truong Long (Physics teacher at Cong Nghiep High School).
