(HBO) – The Hoa Binh National Assembly delegation, led by Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran Dang Ninh, had a working visit at Hoa Binh General Hospital. The delegation included representatives from the provincial Fatherland Front (VFF) committee, labour confederation and other agencies.



Tran Dang Ninh, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee’s standing board, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council and head of the Hoa Binh Naitonal Assembly delegation, chairs the working session.


At the meeting, the delegation heard deputy head of the hospital Quach Thien Tuong reporting on the current conditions at the establishment after the medical incident on May 29. 

Activities to address the consequences of the medical incident have been carried out promptly, with 117 kidney-failure patients transferred to other hospitals.

At the working session, the Hoa Binh General Hospitalexecutive board suggested the delegation ask other public agencies of the province to support the hospital for faster recovery.

They called for assistance in administrative procedures and financial sources for the hospital to resume the operation of its kidney dialysis unit, as well as technical support from central hospitals and early conclusions on the case from related investigation agencies.

They requested the local media to cover achievements the hospital has gained in applying new technologies and saving lives to help gradually rebuild its reputation.

Concluding the function, Tran Dang Ninh said the meeting aims at encouraging the hospital to overcome difficulties that it has undergone after the May 29 incident.

He lauded efforts made by doctors and staff the hospital to tackle the issue and maintain its operation, asking the hospital’s personnel to make their mind stable and get back on track with their duties. 

He requested the Health Ministry to assist the facility in terms of human resources, financing and technologies, and to soon complete the organisation of the hospital’s executive board.

He urged the local committees of mass mobilisation and education-information to promote the hospital’s good image to raise understanding and support among local residents.
