(HBO) - The project of planting Sachi trees in Ky Son district was implemented in 4 communes: Hop Thanh, Yen Quang, Mong Hoa and Phuc Tien with a total area of 5 hectares. Mr. Nguyen Tien Mung, Bai Nai village, Mong Hoa commune (Ky Son) invested in planting Sachi trees which initially brings high economic efficiency.

 

Mr. Nguyen Tien Mung, Bai Nai village, Mong Hoa commune is one of the pioneers planting Sachi trees said: From the land of planting sugarcane annually without efficiency, I bravely transformed, joined the model and was supported and invested by Inchi Company to plant 200 Sachi trees on the land of 1,000 m2 areas. Before planting, my family and 3 other households were instructed the techniques how to grow, care and pest control with this kind of trees.

 

Thanks to grasp the technology and put into cultivation from April 2017, after 6-8 months, the plant has flowers and fruit. Up to now, Mr. Mung's family has collected 70 kg of dried fruit at the purchase price of 30,000 VND / kilogram dried fruit and 50,000 VND / kilogram of seed extracted from the fruit. In addition, he collected 30 kg of Sachi leaves sold to the company for 10,000 VND / kg fresh leaves and 35,000 / kg dry leaves. Besides growing Sachi, Mr. Mung cultivates the red turmeric interposed in accordance with the project. At this time, the households are also harvesting turmeric.

 

The family of Nguyen Thi Huong, Bai Nai village joined to plant 500 m2 of Sachi trees which are easy to plant, easy to care and no pests. By now, her family has gained 20 kilograms of dried fruit. Products are made will be surely consumed by the company. This is a one-time plant, for harvesting from 15 to 20 years; yields will increase year by year. The Sachi tree is expected to reduce hunger and poverty of many farmers in the future.

Sachi is considered as a multi-purpose plant. Parts of plants such as seeds, stems, leaves, roots are all used for processing food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Thanks to nutrients with high nutritional value, in 2 recent years, Sachi trees have been expanded to districts of Luong Son, Da Bac, Kim Boi, Tan Lac and Hoa Binh city. Up to now, the material area of ​​the company has grown up to 100 hectares, of which 50 hectares are being harvested.

The development of Sachi trees contributes to the creation of key crops, creating jobs, increasing incomes for rural workers. The initial success of the Sachi plants would open a new direction for Ky Son's agricultural sector, which is linked to safe chain production.
