(HBO) - The Military Command of Luong Son district in the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh organized a ceremony on July 21 to hand over a house of gratitude to the family of the 77 year-old Hoang Thi Ron in Dam Da II hamlet, Hop Hoa commune, Luong Son district.

Thi Ron is wife of martyr Hoang Van Vay, who sacrificed in the southern
battlefield in 1969. Her family has a difficult circumstance and she has had to
live with her nephew for years. Having acknowledged her innermost feelings, the
district’s Military Command mobilized officers and soldiers to contribute money
to build the house for her.

Leaders of the provincial and district Military Commands and
the Luong Son district People’s Committee and the family’s members cut the
ribbon to inaugurate the house of gratitude.
The house was built on an area of
54 square metresat a cost of 160 million VND. Of the sum, officers and soldiers the Military
Command of Luong Son district contributed 70 million VND and the rest was
raised by her family and relatives. Local residents in Dam Da II hamlet helped
her family with 30 workdays.
This is a significant present, showing the tradition of "When
drinking water, think of its source” of the district Military Command’s
officers and soldiers who are grateful to revolutionary contributors, thus
helping policy beneficiaries overcome difficulties.
On this occasion, the district People’s Committee, local
administrations and sectors and Hop Hoa presented the family with home
furnishings./.
