(HBO) – According to the statistics of Division of Labour, War invalids and Social Affairs, Ky Son district currently has 8.092 children under 16 years old, particularly in 3.499 children under 6 years old, 99 children with disabilities, 583 children living in poor or easily poor households, 20 abandoned children and one HIV infected child. In recent years, the works of educating, protecting and caring children are always interested and concerned by the authorities of all levels, branches, communes and towns in the district. Especially, the district is particularly interested in helping children who have difficult conditions by specific and practical works.


The leaders of Ky Son District People’s Committee are giving gifts for children who have extremely difficult conditions in the area.

From the beginning of the year, the district has organized to present 300 gifts for children on the occasion of Tet holiday and some festivals. It also coordinated with the agencies to broadcast about injuries to children. Especially, in the month of Action For Children in 2018, the district has developed a plan to implement.

With the topic "For a safe and healthy life for children in the digital world”, the district has organized some activities to broadcast about Children’s Law. Besides, it directed the communes and towns to organize many activities in the month of Action For Children, particularly in implementing safe and healthy activities for children in holiday. It required to make a list of handing over, receiving and managing children participating in summer activities in communes, towns, residential communities and local authorities. Moreover, Youth Union and political and social organizations opened swimming training course, prepared for children some life skills, self-protection skills when using social networks, the instruction of digital media and skills of preventing and protecting from injuries for children.

In June, from the source of Sponsor Fund for Children, the district has given 15 gifts including 10 gifts for children having extremely difficult conditions. In addition, it recognized and presented 30 gifts for children who have extremely difficult conditions achieving good or excellent student honors, with the worth of 300.000 VND per gift. In the coming time, in order to enhance the quality of works in children care and protection, Ky Son district will continue to mobilize the interest and assistance of all Party committees, authorities, braches, agencies, organizations, benefactors and people by specific and practical ways to help children have chances to study, play, receive care and have a better life.
