(HBO) - Despite formidable challenges and grave dangers, officers of the Hoa Binh police’s manhunt section have completed all entrusted missions to protect local people’s peaceful life, thanks to their professional capacity, firm will and a zealous spirit of serving the people.
Officers of the provincial
police’s manhunt section regularly hold exchanges to improve their professional
capacity to fulfil their assigned missions.
From 2014 to May, 2018, the provincial police
captured 192 wanted criminals, persuaded 63 others to hand themselves in. The
manhunt section alone arrested 87 wanted criminals and persuaded 63 others to
give themselves up. Among those arrested, 23 were dangerous criminals, most of whom
were equipped with weapons and ready to resist to escape punishment.
In the first five months of this year, the
provincial police nabbed eight wanted criminals and mobilised 10 others to hand
in themselves. The manhunt section managed to persuaded two particularly
dangerous criminals - Trang A Di and Trang A Tu who are residents in Hang Kia
commune, Mai Chau district, to surrender to the police.
With its important contributions to preventing
crimes and ensuring social order and security in the province, the manhunt
section were presented with the title of advanced units and its Party cell
given the title of clean and strong Party organisation for five consecutive
years from 2013 to 2017. The section and its staff have been awarded 35
certificates of merit from the Minister of Public Security, the Chairman of the
provincial People’s Committee, and the director of the provincial Police for
their outstanding performance
The National Science and Engineering Fair for secondary and high school students was held at Ton Duc Thang University in Ho Chi Minh City from March 19-21 by the Ministry of Education and Training.
As women's participation in key leadership positions of Hoa Binh province is still modest while some women in rural and mountainous areas or from ethnic minorities face limited access to policies, the provincial Party Committee's Organisation Board has advised the provincial Party Committee's Standing Board to direct Party committees at all levels and localities to pay more attention to training female personnel and creating favourable conditions for women to take over leadership and management roles, thus addressing a shortage in the number of female cadres.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province held a conference on March 18 to review the performance of the "Safe and Happy School" Project and set out tasks for 2025. The project, funded by the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), aims to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students. The event saw the attendance of representatives from the TFCF and 26 beneficiary schools.
