(HBO) - Due to the influence of tornadoes and heavy rain from the beginning of the rainy season of 2018, in Tu Ly commune (Da Bac), there were three houses damaged in housing, one damaged in cattle; specifically, a buffalo is dead because of being struck by lightning. To be more active in the prevention and protection works against floods and storms, the local Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control and Victim Rescue has strictly maintained the duty status of 24 / 24h, mobilizing and implementing the motto "4 on the spot".

landslide to remove in Mo La village.
According to Mr. Xa Van Binh, the Vice
Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, almost every year in the area,
storms, and heavy rain storms occurred and caused significant damages,
especially in rice and crops. In addition, one of the risks that local people
are often worried about is the risk of landslides, flash floods due to terrain
conditions. In the previous rainy season, the phenomenon of rock and landslides
covering houses happened in Ma village, Tinh village, some water works for
living activities, irrigation, traffic roads. Most recently, in the rainy
season of 2017, there were 3 households affected by landslide had to relocate
to safer places; the dam of Chau Lake is in the risk of rupture due to
landslides and heavy rain. Many households living along streams or at the foot
of hills and mountains are also prone to loss of safety. For example, dozens of
households in Mo La village are in dangerous areas, such as the households of
Mr. Phung Huy Hieu and Luong Van Ly, etc.
In order to improve the efficiency of the
work of Flood and Storm Control and Victim Rescue, the commune has concentrated
on propaganda activities, through meetings of the villages, associations and
mass organizations to raise awareness of the local people. In addition to
reviewing risk areas of landslides to propose to the Standing Office of the
district Board of Flood and Storm Control and Victim Rescue for technical
assistance and resettlement in place or relocation, the Party Committee, local
authorities also attach importance to the warning work to the local people. Up
to now, the commune has transplanted the households of Mr. Trieu Phuc Khoa,
Trieu Van Kiem in the village of Ma 2, the household of Ms. Dinh Thi Manh in
Dong Chanh village affected by landslides into the houses; they were also
supported under regulation of VND 15 million per household, one household were
supported VND 20 million to relocate from unsafe areas.
