(HBO)- Building new-style rural areas was the theme of a contest recently held by Tan Lac district’s Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. The event drew the participation of the group of mountainous communes, group of communes along national road 12B No.1, group of communes along national road 12B No.2, group of communes in Thach Bi region, and group of remote communes.

The contest created opportunity for the district’s youths to meet
and share experience and initiatives in the building of new style rural areas
and in youth affairs. Also, they exchanged ways to improve quality of communication
workers who play key role in the popularisation of the Party and Government’s
policies on building new style rural areas, thus strengthening young people’s pioneering
role and innovation in local socio-economic-cultural development and
security-order maintenance.
The competition comprised four parts: introduction (we talk about us);
knowledge; short play (story of new style rural area) and presentation (youths
join hands to build new style rural area). Participating teams have made
thorough preparations with suitable costumes and stage props
The first prize was presented to the group of mountainous communes. Meanwhile, the
group of communes along national road 12B No.1 and group of communes in Thach
Bi region won the second prize.
The third prize went to the group of remote communes, and group of communes
along national road 12B No.2.
The group of communes in Thach Bi region also won the prize for the most
impressive introduction.
In late March, 29 labourers from Da Bac district were sent to work as seasonal farm workers in Buyeo county, Chungcheongnam province, the Republic of Korea (RoK). Upon arrival, they quickly settled into their jobs, enjoying good working conditions and benefits, with wages aligned with the terms of their signed contracts.
