(HBO) - Moon Cake – is the traditional flavor, which before only appeared when the Mid-Autumn Festival was coming, on the full moon day in August.

As closer to the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Moon Cakes are being consumed much more because besides the need of enjoying, this will also be a gift many people choose to send to grandparents, parents, children, colleagues, friends to expressing the strong relationships, gratitude and union meaning. This is also the time when the companies launched the new line of this year's Moon cakes towards the rich and new tastes like Moon cakes with marshy layers, jelly Moon cakes, Moon cakes with fruit juice buns, etc. Many consumers highly evaluate that the flavor of this year’ Moon cakes is more delicious, they are in more beautiful forms and more various about types and kinds.

According to our records, the dominated products of the Moon cakes are currently at present in the market are from the brand of Vietnamese brands, such as Kinh Do, Huu Nghi and Bibica. The price of cakes and pies this year has not fluctuated much compared to last year's Mid-Autumn Festival. Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh, the supermarket manager of Vi Hoa Binh Supermarket said that with the not exciting market as in Hoa Binh city, the amount of imported cakes is mainly produced by domestic manufacturers. There are not many the super quality and high quality cakes worth few million / box, which are often used as gifts, and presents. The price of Moon cakes among the firms is quite similar, at 45,000 - 47,000 VND / cake, 55,000 - 65,000 VND / pie depending on the pie buns made of chicken eggs or green beans, green tea, mixed, etc. Besides two popular tastes of sweet and salty buns, this year's Moon cakes continue to have the innovation of design, especially the more attractive model, the pattern on the cake highlights with creative flowers such as flowers floating, 3D images, the funny animals  to catch the attention of consumers.
