(HBO) - In the school year of 2018 - 2019, Yen Lac Primary School (Yen Thuy) maintained 22 classes with over 700 pupils. In this school year, the school continues to innovate, improve the quality of education, striving to maintain the title as a national standard school of Level 2.

The school totally has 43 staff and teachers, 100% teachers are at qualified level. With the quality of staff and teachers are quite equal, most of them have professional skills, strong professionalism, high sense of responsibility, flexible and creative teaching methods, combining effectively learning between theory and practice, learning and playing in accordance with pupils’ age. Those has created a dynamic learning atmosphere, bringing passion and interest to pupils. At the same time, the team of staff and teachers has reformed the methods into student-centered teaching, continued to promote the campaign of "Democracy, discipline, love and responsibility", "Each teacher is an example of morality, self-studying and creativity", "Building a friendly school with active pupils."

During the lessons, teachers actively study, collect effective materials for teaching and using relative equipment and teaching aids effectively. Especially, in the academic year of 2017 - 2018, the school deployed and effectively applied the method of "hands - on" in the lessons of Science, Nature and Society; implementing to teach Arts with the new Danish methods to 100% of classes in the whole school, teaching English and Computer for grade 3rd, 4th and 5th pupils; implementing effectively the model of VNEN Primary School.

As a result, in the past years, the quality of teaching and learning of Yen Lac Primary School has improved remarkably. In particular, the quality of mass education and key education have made improvement. Every year, the school has over 80% of pupils achieving quite good and good pupils. In the school year of 2017 - 2018, the school had 726 pupils, 468 of which completed excellent all the study and training content, accounting for 64.5%; 104 pupils had outstanding achievements, accounting for 14.3%. At the District Olympia Competition for 5th grade pupils, there were 31 pupils of the school participating. Among them, 7 pupils won the first prizes, 11 won the second prizes, 9 won the third ones and 4 won the consolation prizes.
