(HBO) - Attached with the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families", in the past years, the Women's Union in Hang Kia commune, Mai Chau district has pushed up the implementation of the campaign "Building a family of 5 No, 3 Clean" launched by the Central Vietnam Women's Union and achieved many remarkable results.


The women members of Hang Kia 1 village, Hang Kia commune (Mai Chau) regularly participate in cleaning the environmental sanitation in rural areas, creating clean and beautiful landscapes in village.

Ms Vang Y Sai, the Chairwoman of the Commune Women's Union, said that with the feature that majority of women members in the commune do farming for their living. Previously, people often threw away the bottles, jars of chemicals after use. Since the Women's Union established the "5 No, 3 Clean" model, women have learned how to collect rubbish materials for selling and use this money as a fund to support their members with difficulties. To set the consciousness to preserve the environment, the commune Women's Union actively propagandizes on environmental sanitation and mobilizes its members to regularly clean and plant flowers at the landscape to create a clean environmental landscape. In Hang Kia, in order to meet the criteria of building their families with "5 No, 3 Clean”,  the Women's Union in the village maintains the club" Family of 5 No, 3 Clean”, "Club of domestic violence prevention, savings groups and preferential loans from Social Policy Bank to help the members develop their economy. As a result, many members have built economic models such as raising garden chickens, raising pigs, embroidering, brocade weaving, developing business, etc.

Ms Vang Y Sai, the Chairman of Women's Union of Hang Kia commune said: "Since the campaign was launched by the Women's Union, the campaign of " Building a family of 5 No, 3 Clean", all women are excited to participate. Each woman member contributed a part of their efforts to make the rural roads clean, beautiful and modern. In addition, the commune Women's Union has integrated with other programs such as the Club of "Parenting healthy children, Teaching Good Children", club of " No third child”, etc. with the aim to help the members care and teach their children well. Thanks to these, up to now, the whole commune has 120 households meeting 8 criteria to build family "5 No, 3 Clean". This helps the women to be more active in building family life, striving to do business and actively keep environmental sanitation.
