(HBO) – In the 2017 – 2018 academic year, Dan Hoa Primary and Secondary School in Ky Son was awarded with a certificate of merit for coming third in the competition of the primary education sector.

The school’s students are in two levels, including
182 primary and 105 secondary pupils. The school has 38 staff and teachers, 100
percent of the teachers meet and exceed qualification standards. With equal
quality and qualified professional skills, high sense of responsibility, flexible
and creative methods of teaching with effective combination between theory and
practicing, the teachers have created an inspiring learning atmosphere, drawing
students’ passion and interest.
In the past school year, the school
showed strong performance in implementing campaigns and emulation movements,
while popularising to all staff, teachers, and students the spirit of thrift
practice, environmental protection, discipline, building safe, green, clean and
beautiful school, and raised the teachers’ awareness and responsibility in observing
regulations on teachers’ ethic.
The school has promoted the studying
and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morality and style, the "Say
no to examination cheating and record obsession in education. Say no to violation
of teachers’ ethic and placing students in the wrong class" campaign, as
well as the movements entitled "Building a friendly school, model teachers and
active students”, "Democracy - discipline – affection and responsibility",
and "Each teacher is a model of ethic, self-learning and creativity".
The school has actively participated
in the fundamental and comprehensive reform of education with a focus on
innovation teaching methods in the direction of developing students’ capacity.
As a result, in the 2017-2018
academic year, 59 primary students showed excellent performance and 72 recorded
outstanding achievements. Meanwhile, in the secondary level, 10 students
achieved good and 73 others recorded fair performance. The whole school saw 12
students engaging in a handwriting contest at the district level, 11 competing
in a contest for students with excellent performance at the district level and
three in a contest at the provincial level.
In late March, 29 labourers from Da Bac district were sent to work as seasonal farm workers in Buyeo county, Chungcheongnam province, the Republic of Korea (RoK). Upon arrival, they quickly settled into their jobs, enjoying good working conditions and benefits, with wages aligned with the terms of their signed contracts. The programme is now being expanded, with relevant departments and sectors actively seeking additional seasonal employment opportunities in various localities across the RoK.
Luong Son Industrial Park has invested in standardised wastewater and emissions treatment systems, enforced tight emission controls, reduced noise, dust, and solid waste, and expanded green spaces, contributing to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development.
Hoa Binh police are collecting public feedback on amendments to the 2013 Constitution via the national identification app VNeID. This innovative approach marks a giant leap towards modernising grassroots democracy and enhancing transparency in public consultation.
A total public investment capital of 113 billion VND (over 4.3 million USD) was disbursed for a project to upgrade infrastructure and stabilise residents in the vicinity of the Da River reservoir between 2021 and the first quarter of 2025, giving a facelift to local rural areas and improving the quality of people's life.
