(HBO) - Since 2016, the Fatherland Front of Thanh Ha town in Lac Thuy district has made many efforts, initiativeness and creativity in the implementation of the movement "All people unite to build new rural, urban civilization". Particularly, it focuses on the first contents of the movement on solidarity for economic development, hunger elimination and poverty reduction.


The branch of Women Association in Thong Nhat Resident Area, Thanh Ha town (Lac Thuy) collect waste materials to raise funds for poor households.

 

Thanh Ha town has 578 households with 2,159 people, living in 6 residential areas.

To help poor households, the Fatherland Front of Thanh Ha town advocates the effective implementation of the "For the poor" fund. Every year, the Permanent Fatherland Front Committee of the town builds a plan to mobilize for the fund support as well as the plan to allocate funds for supporting economically disadvantaged households to develop production.

For 3 years, it has supported over 81.3 million VND to support 7 households for developing economy. In which, two poor households were given 2 breeding cows valued at 35 million VND to feed; supporting agricultural fertilizer for 3 households with the amount of 9 million VND; supporting for 2 households with the amount of 6 million VND. In addition, from the fund, they donated 3 bicycles to 3 poor students in the new school year, supporting sickness hospitalization for two poor households in difficulty.

That activity helps poor households be able to stabilize their life. Typically, the household of Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan in Thang Loi residential area, with the support of a cow breeding in 2015 plus the family savings, they bought another cow to reproduce. Up to now, her family has sold 4 calves, collected over 40 million VND and continues to care for the mother cow to reproduce, that supported her family for economic development. Thanks to that, her family has been removed from the list of poor households.

 The Fatherland Front Committee of the town also cooperates with associations and unions to increase the training of technology transfer for the people with 18 classes and build models for linking economic development with 15 models, set up an agricultural cooperative.

Thanks to extensive implementation of activities to support each other in economic development, so for 3 years, they have helped 7 poor households with over 50 million VND. In 2018, the Fatherland Front Committee of the town coordinated with the Volunteer Union to build a new house for the poor, valued at 70 million VND. The life of the people in the town has been improved, the culture, health and education have been improved, the security order has been kept safe.
