(HBO) – The high school for ethnic minority day boarders of Thai Thinh commune, Hoa Binh city, has held a ceremony to mark the 36th Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982-2018) and receive a certificate recognizing it a national-standard school in the 2018-2023 period. The event was attended by Bui Van Cuu, standing member of the Hoa Binh provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

provincial People’s Committee, Vice Chairman Bui Van Cuu presents the
national-standard status certificate to the school’s representatives.
The Thai Thinh high school for ethnic minority
day boarders was set up under Decision 1381/QD-UBND of the People’s Committee
of Hoa Binh city. It is a special school for ethnic minority children in Thai
Thinh commune. It currently has 24 staff members.
Over the last two academic years, the municipal
People’s Committee has helped the school upgrade infrastructure and build nine
new classrooms and functional rooms at total cost of 3.5 billion VND (nearly
150,500 USD). The provincial Department of Education and Training has also
assisted it in building two classrooms and equipping teaching aids worth almost
3 billion VND (129,000 USD).
In the 2017-2018 academic year, 47 percent of
the school’s teachers were recognised as excellent teachers at the municipal
level. Its staff also won four prizes at the municipal level and another in
terms of scientific – technical innovation at the provincial level. They also
obtained gold, silver and bronze medals at national swimming competitions.
With its efforts over the past years, the school
was granted with the national-standard status for the 2018-2023 period.
Addressing the ceremony, on behalf of the Hoa
Binh provincial People’s Committee, Bui Van Cuu, standing member of the
provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s
Committee, praised efforts by the school’s teachers, departments, sectors, and
authorities of Thai Thinh commune.
He expressed his hope that the teachers and
students will work hard to deserve the national-standard school status. He also
called on teachers to increase equipping students with social and communication
skills to help them become both good students and citizens./.
In late March, 29 labourers from Da Bac district were sent to work as seasonal farm workers in Buyeo county, Chungcheongnam province, the Republic of Korea (RoK). Upon arrival, they quickly settled into their jobs, enjoying good working conditions and benefits, with wages aligned with the terms of their signed contracts. The programme is now being expanded, with relevant departments and sectors actively seeking additional seasonal employment opportunities in various localities across the RoK.

Hoa Binh police are collecting public feedback on amendments to the 2013 Constitution via the national identification app VNeID. This innovative approach marks a giant leap towards modernising grassroots democracy and enhancing transparency in public consultation.
A total public investment capital of 113 billion VND (over 4.3 million USD) was disbursed for a project to upgrade infrastructure and stabilise residents in the vicinity of the Da River reservoir between 2021 and the first quarter of 2025, giving a facelift to local rural areas and improving the quality of people's life.
Since the end of 2023-2024 academic year, Cu Yen Primary and Secondary School in Luong Son district has deployed e-study records for all of its 500 primary students, said the school principal Nguyen Thi Tuyen.
The Labour Federation of Hoa Binh city has actively worked to protect the rights and welfare of nearly 8,000 local workers and union members at 152 grassroots unions. Through regular dialogues, education campaigns, and welfare programmes, the federation has helped foster stable, progressive labour relations.
