(HBO) – In Yen Mong commune (Hoa Binh city), the Provincial Farmers' Association has just held a conference to collect and evaluate the model of "Classification of domestic waste and treatment of organic waste for fertilizer in the household family "in 2018.

The project of "Building a typical model
of waste classification and treatment of organic waste for fertilizers in the
household" was implemented in 5 villages with the aim of raising awareness
and responsibilities of the local people in the environmental preservation and
protection, to equip the farmers with knowledge and skills on the
classification of organic waste for fertilizers. With the total of 100
households of farmer members belonging to 9 villages participating, the Project
has supported to build 10 composting tanks in 5 villages of Yen Hoa 1, Yen Hoa
2, Khang Dinh, Moi Mit and My. Moreover, it also suppoted in organic fermented
manure. Up to the acceptance time, 10 out of 10 compositing tanks have
completed, the households have the source of organic fertilizer to serve the
family and community. The contents of activities, targets and technical
procedures are implemented in accordance with the project regulations.
The conference highly appreciated the
economic model that helped to reduce environmental pollution and cost
constraints compared to buying fertilizer in the market. In terms of social
efficiency, participating households have improved their knowledge and skills
in waste collection, treatment and classification. The model in Yen Mong
commune will replicate widespread in the commune, becoming the destination to
visit and study for farmers in the surrounding communes and in the province.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province held a conference on March 18 to review the performance of the "Safe and Happy School" Project and set out tasks for 2025.
