(HBO) – The eleconference system, which has become operational in communes and towns across Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province since October, has proved effective in helping officials and party members at the grassroots level get updated with the Party’s resolutions and State’s policies.

Located in the area of Hoa Binh Lake, Da Bac district has rugged topography and complex geological settings which are separated by hills, rivers and streams. As traffic in the region is difficult, it takes communal leaders from two to three days to go to the district centre to attend regular meetings, resulting in higher expenses for their business trips. In addition, due to limitation in the number of attendants, the Party and State’s policies sometimes are not popularised to local residents in a timely manner.

In that context, Da Bac district decided to build a teleconference system and organise training for communal staff who are in charge of information and technology.

As of October, all of the 21 communes were installed with the system, making Da Bac the first district to complete online conference infrastructure at the communal level. This is an important milestone and a remarkable shift in the application of the information and technology in the most disadvantaged district in the province. Many important teleconferences were organised, helping locals have deep insight into the Party and State’s policies.

Secretary of the Da Bac district Party Committee Dinh Cong Bao said that with a total investment of 1.5 billion VND, the system has shown great efficiency as it reduces costs and shortens time to implement the resolutions. Local people’s awareness of the Party and State’s policies, therefore, has been improved.

"The result is a vivid illustration of the Standing board of the district Party Committee in applying information and technology into management as well as accelerating administration reform in a streamlined and effective manner”, he said./.
