(HBO) - The Hoa Binh Department of Education and Training has organised a teaching competition for elementary school teachers in the 2018 – 2019 academic year.

The contest attracted 52 candidates from 11 local districts and cities. They included 24 ethnic minority teachersand12 othersfrom 12 disadvantaged areasacrossthe province.

 Theparticipantscompeted in three events:acompetency test, an event for teachers to show experience and initiatives, and a lecturing contest.

 According to the judge, the candidates showed strong capacity in their professional areas. Many of their experience and ideas were clearly presented, with IT application for improved teaching quality highlighted. The lecturing event saw many teachers bravely taking new approaches and methods.

 Four first prizes of the competition came to Pham Thi Ran (Huu Nghi Primary School), Nguyen Huong Lan (Le Van Tam Primary School), Ha Thi Phuong Hoa (Ly Tu Trong Primary School), and Dao Thi Minh Hang (Hoa Binh Primary School). All of these schools are located in Hoa Binh City.

 There were also nine second, 13 third, and 14 consolation prizes.

 The organising board awarded the first, second and third prizes to the education and training divisions of Hoa Binh city, Cao Phong district, and Da Bac district, respectively. Meanwhile, five consolation prizes were given to the education and training divisions of Lac Thuy, Yen Thuy, Kim Boi, Tan Lac, and Mai Chau districts./.
