(HBO) – The youth union of Ky Son district, Hoa Binh province, has launched a voluntary programme in winter 2018 and in spring 2019 at the cultural house of Bu Cham hamlet, Phu Minh commune. More than 200 young people in the district participated in the activities.

Based on the instructions of the provincial youth union’s secretariat, the youth union of Ky Son district has built a specific plan and specific guidance for the voluntary programme in winter 2018 and spring 2019, which runs from November 2018 to February 2019 under the theme "I love my fatherland.”

The youth union of Ky Son district has been focusing on four topics: Warm winter for children; Accompanying with the people; For community health; and Organising spring voluntary activities to support needy workers and families during the Tet holiday.

At the launching event, the district’s youth union presented 25 blankets to disadvantaged families in Phu Minh commune. Afterwards, a series of activities took place such as providing free medicine and health checkups for 70 people from Bu Cham hamlet (Phu Minh commune) and building a hygiene toilet for Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoi’s family in Gieng 2 hamlet (Hop Thinh commune) with all expenses funded by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the district’s police.

These activities aim to strengthen solidarity among youths and encourage them to make contributions to the community./.
