(HBO) – The youth union of the police of the north-western province of Hoa Binh worked with the provincial Red Cross Society and the Hanoi Police Hospital to organise a winter voluntary programme in the communes of Hang Kia and Pa Co of Mai Chau district. More than 100 officials and members from chapters of the youth union of provincial police and Mai Chau police participated in the programme.

Volunteers provide medical checkups, consultations and free
medicine for locals of Hang Kia commune.
It was
part of the activities to respond to the voluntary programme in winter 2018 and
spring 2019 of the youths of the provincial police, aiming to bolster
solidarity and spirit of young people towards disadvantaged people in the
locality, thus creating a friendly image of the force among local residents.
A
number of activities took place in the event, including a ceremony to present
scholarships to 10 poor students with outstanding academic results in Hang Kia
and Po Co communes.
Participants
also received information on traffic regulations, drug crime prevention, and surrender
of weapons and explosives.
In
addition, stationery was handed over to 200 students of Boarding Junior High School
B for ethnic students in Mai Chau district. Members of the youth union were
encouraged to contribute working days for the family of martyr Sung A Tru.
Furthermore,
as many as 200 Mong ethnic people in Hang Kia commune received medical
examination, healthcare consultancy, free medicine and gifts totalling more
than 50 million VND (about 2,155 USD)./.
The women's unions at all levels in Kim Boi district have been making significant contributions to the movement of building cultural life in the local community.
The movement helps improve rural look and the spiritual and material lives of local residents.
The Hoa Binh provincial People’s Committee has issued an action plan to ensure food safety, promote processing, and develop the market for agricultural, forestry, and fishery products in 2025.
In recent years, the development of rural handicrafts has not only helped preserve and promote the traditional values but it has also created jobs and improved incomes for the local residents.
By harmoniously combining traditional medicine with modern medical practices, the Hoa Binh Traditional Medicine Hospital is strengthening its role in the province’s healthcare system.
