In 2018, youth union chapters in the district held 32 communication campaigns. Of them, the traffic safety regulation dissemination work, which was organised in collaboration with the district’s traffic police, was considered the most outstanding activity. They nudged state regulations closer to disadvantaged areas like Ngo Luong, Trung Hoa, Lo Son and Do Nhan, where local residents did not have thorough understanding about traffic safety.

"The work was carried out via contests, including art, play, and knowledge of law. It attracted a large number of participants, resulting in an effective campaign”, Deputy Secretary of Tan Lac district’s HCM Communist Youth Union Bui Van Diep said.

In recent years, the youth union chapters in Tan Lac district have paid due attention to popularising the obligatory military service law. Secretary of Phu Vinh commune’s youth union Dinh Cong The said that hundreds of youth union members participated in five communication campaigns, and they got deeper insight into their duty and responsibility.

Phu Vinh commune has always well performed military service registration and fulfilled the assigned plan on the number of young people to join the military service./.
