(HBO) – The 2019 spring voluntary campaign was recently launched in Long Son commune, Luong Son district by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the youth federation in Luong Son district in coordination with their counterparts in Hanoi’s Dong Anh district, bringing a warm Tet to the disadvantaged people in the commune.
Themed "I love my country”, the campaign focused on mobilising
social resources to present gifts to children, young workers and families with
difficult circumstances, repair houses for families under preferential
treatment policies, provide medical check-ups and medicine for local residents,
and give other support to the needy as the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) nears.

Some 1,500 notebooks were delivered to Long Son primary and secondary
schools. Meanwhile, 30 kilogrammes of rice, 23 blankets, 92 boxes of instant
noodle and various kinds of toys were given to people and children in the
commune.
The programme helped promote the youth’s pioneering roles in
ensuring social welfare, and provided a chance for youth activists to hone
their skills in gathering members in social activities./.
