(HBO) – A seminar on disseminating drug and crime prevention was recently held in the northern province of Hoa Binh with the participation of representatives from the provincial Department of Public Security, Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the provincial Youth Union, over 300 students from the Ngo Quyen High School, and trainees at the No.1 drug rehabilitation establishment.
At the seminar, students and trainees had an
opportunity to exchange with guests from the provincial department of drug
crime investigation police, representatives from the provincial Youth Union,
and officials from the No.1 drug rehabilitation establishment.
Students and trainees were provided with information
on the harmful effects of drugs, the results of drug and crime prevention in
the province over the past time; watched documentary films on drug-related
crimes; and exchanged with guests from the department of drug crime
investigation police, representatives from the provincial Youth Union, and
officials from the No.1 drug rehabilitation establishment.
The programme aimed to disseminate the Party and
State’s policies and guidelines in the field and methods and tricks of drug
criminals to heighten awareness and vigilance of students in an effort to drive
back this crime from the society. At the same time, the seminar also honoured role
models in preventing and combating drug crimes in the province and encouraged
drug users to wean off drug and reintegrate into the community./.
In late March, 29 labourers from Da Bac district were sent to work as seasonal farm workers in Buyeo county, Chungcheongnam province, the Republic of Korea (RoK).
