(HBO) – In 2016, Do Thi Nhung, head of the women’s union of Zone 6, Muong Khen town (Tan Lac), was honoured to receive the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit for her achievements in studying and following the moral example of late President Ho Chi Minh in the 2011-2015 period, contributing to the cause of national building and defence.
Since then, Nhung has been leading in the
implementation of deeds previously done by Uncle Ho, in the town’s residential
area and across the district.

Nhung, head of the women’s union of Zone 6, Muong Khen town (Tan Lac), is
encouraging business households not to encroach pavements with sale boards and
trash cans.
This is the second tenure of the women’s
union of Zone 6 of Nhung, a dynamic female official. She had valuable lessons
from the campaign of building a family model of "5 No, 3 Yes” at the
residential and has spent a significant amount of time disseminating eight
criteria of the model to the union’s members and locals to raise awareness of
keeping roads clean, green and beautiful.
In 2016, the district’s women union selected
Zone 6 to pilot the model "roads governed by women in association with
protection of traffic safety corridors”.
As a pioneer, Nhung came to each household, encouraging them to sign
commitments not to encroach pavements for sale and business while actively
keeping the environment clean.
At the same time, the campaign "all people do the environmental sanitation
every Sunday” was launched.
Thanks to these campaigns, over the past 8
years, the environmental landscape in Zone 6 has always been kept clean, green
and beautiful, while traffic safety has been guaranteed./.
In late March, 29 labourers from Da Bac district were sent to work as seasonal farm workers in Buyeo county, Chungcheongnam province, the Republic of Korea (RoK). Upon arrival, they quickly settled into their jobs, enjoying good working conditions and benefits, with wages aligned with the terms of their signed contracts.
