(HBO) - From April 29 to May 1, the tornado accompanied by a whirlwind occurred on a large scale in Da Bac district, causing a lot of damage to houses and crops of the people in almost every commune in the district. The total damage has been estimated at over 600 million VND.

the roof of Mr. Xa Van Canh’s family in Hao Phu hamlet and Hao Ly commune and a
wood production workshop in Hao Ly commune. The thunderstorm has broken down,
completely damaged 33 hectares of corn during the flagging period. It has
knocked down a low-voltage electric pole and a large-sized propaganda panel in
Hao Ly commune.
Immediately after the thunderstorm occurred, the People's
Committees of the communes checked the actual damage and mobilized the local
manpower to help the households clean up and repair the roof to temporarily
stabilize their lives. The households cleaned up the fields to continue
planting other crops in time.
