(HBO) - Over the past years, the Red Cross of Ky Son district has actively organized a lot of voluntary activities and people’s health care, especially in the remote communes of the district.

Thereby, they can mobilize a large number of cadres, members, volunteers and the support of the whole society. They have joined their hands to support and help those who are in difficult circumstances. They have also helped the people suffering from sickness, diseases and people who have contributed to the revolution and the beneficiary of social welfare to overcome difficulties in their life.

The leaders of the Party Committee, the People's Committee and the Red Cross of Ky Son district have mobilized the local people to participate in voluntary blood donation.

In the first 4 months of this year, the different levels of the Association in the district have collaborated to receive and advise the Party committees and the appropriate authorities to pay a visit and present gifts with a total value of 788,880 million VND to 2,503 turns of those who have contributed to the revolution and the people with especially difficult circumstances, the victims of agent dioxin, the beneficiary of social welfare. They have coordinated with the appropriate authorities to promote the propaganda and mobilize the people to well perform the initial health care, the epidemiological hygiene, the environmental sanitation and have organized the medical examination and consultation and free medicine provision for 333 turns of people with a total value of nearly 30 million VND. 

The action program "Every organization and individual attaches to a humanitarian address" is actively being implemented. The Red Cross of all levels, departments, agencies, unions and the people in the district have helped the households with specially difficult circumstances, the beneficiary of social welfare, the people who have contributed to the revolution and the victims of agent dioxin 800 labor days to repair houses. They have also paid visits, encouraged and supported those who unluckily had risks and accidents 510 labor days and 420 kg of rice worth over 96 million VND. They have been continuing to promote the campaign to support "The Bank of Cow" program. The District’s Red Cross has awarded 5 families with extremely difficult circumstances in 2 communes of Doc Lap and Phuc Tien 5 breeding cows worth 80 million VND.

Along with the volunteering activities, caring and protecting the people’s health, the members of the Red Cross at all levels, the youth team and the volunteers in the district have promoted the propaganda and mobilized the people to improve the consciousness of the disease prevention and control for people and animals, the implementation of food hygiene and safety, the fire and explosion prevention and fighting, the active participation in the voluntary blood donation. Thereby, it helps to build the different levels of Association stronger and stronger, making an important contribution to ensuring the social security in the area.
