(HBO) - The rural road network in Cao Phong district, the northern province of Hoa Binh has been given a facelift as compared to 2013. Bumpy roads in Yen Thuong, Yen Lap and Thung Nai communes and inter-commune routes between Bac Phong and Xuan Phong have been replaced with asphalted and concrete ones. The upgraded traffic infrastructure has helped spur local socio-economic development.

been concreted, helping Dao ethnic people in Tien Lam 1 hamlet in Bac Phong
commune engage in goods trading.
Residents
in Tien Lam 1 and Tien Lam 2 hamlets of Bac Phong commune have experienced noted
changes in their lives after local roads were concreted, making it easier for
them to travel by bikes and motorbikes. The roads can accommodate trucks whose
weight is within the limit, and tractors.
The
mountainous communes of Yen Lap and Yen Thuong have no longer faced transport
problems as the 14-km road from Tay Phong commune to Khanh hamlet, Yen Thuong
commune has been concreted and put into use, bringing joy to local residents.
Living standards of local people have also been improved significantly.
Pham
Van Thuy, head of the district’s economic and infrastructure section, said all
roads in the district have met safety requirements and transport demand of
locals all the year round. People’s Committees of the district and communes are
managing roads with total length of 467.66 km, including 44.1 km of asphalted roads
and 260.04 km of concreted roads.
In
2018, the district built 0.46 km of new concrete roads, asphalted 18.02 km of
roads and paved 4 km of roads by other materials.
The
locality also manages 17 bridges measuring a total 420m in length, including
ten steel reinforced concrete bridges and two suspended ones. /.
In late March, 29 labourers from Da Bac district were sent to work as seasonal farm workers in Buyeo county, Chungcheongnam province, the Republic of Korea (RoK). Upon arrival, they quickly settled into their jobs, enjoying good working conditions and benefits, with wages aligned with the terms of their signed contracts. The programme is now being expanded, with relevant departments and sectors actively seeking additional seasonal employment opportunities in various localities across the RoK.

Hoa Binh police are collecting public feedback on amendments to the 2013 Constitution via the national identification app VNeID. This innovative approach marks a giant leap towards modernising grassroots democracy and enhancing transparency in public consultation.
A total public investment capital of 113 billion VND (over 4.3 million USD) was disbursed for a project to upgrade infrastructure and stabilise residents in the vicinity of the Da River reservoir between 2021 and the first quarter of 2025, giving a facelift to local rural areas and improving the quality of people's life.
