(HBO) - Along with power, water consumption in summer, especially during hot spells, has increased. According to the Hoa Binh Clean Water JSC, so far, water consumption in Hoa Binh city has risen about 3-5 percent on a yearly basis. The demand for water of locals is about 16,000-18,000 cu.m per day and night. However, in the high temperature period in late April and mid-May, the water consumption surged sharply to about 20,000 cu.m, or even 25,000 cu.m per day and night.
Leaders of the
Hoa Binh Clean Water JSC check the pressure gauges to control the water supply
in different areas.
During
hot days, inspection staff of the company kept close monitoring on agencies in
charge of water regulation to ensure that all locals are supplied with enough
water. If any area is found suffering from water shortage or poor supply, the
staff will make timely settlement.
Alongside,
the company also installed pressure gauges in tough areas for daily control of
water supply, while placing the device in other areas to better control the
supply. This is also among the solutions to manage water supply during summer.
Currently,
the company is serving about 2,800 customers in Hoa Binh city. During the
urbanization process, the demand for clean water of locals has risen. In order
to enhance the quality of its services and prevent water loss, in the past two
years, the company has upgraded its pipe system and form pipe blocs. In 2018,
it invested about 5 billion VND to install small pipes into each household.
This
year, it plans to invest about 15 billion VND in the work. It will make small
pipe blocs to define where the water loss happens. In 2018, it made 40 blocs
with each covering 300 households at maximum and 30-50 at minimum.
It
is estimated that this year, the company will establish 1,000 blocs to cover
the whole Hoa Binh city.
At
the same time, the company has installed about 40km of service pipes to replace
all the old ones by 2020. Once completed, the pipes will help improve the
service quality of the company, reducing water loss and increasing pipe
pressure, thus strengthening water flow to households./.
