(HBO) – The Military Command in Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province, granted 78 bicycles and school bags to poor students at the Son Thuy Secondary School in Son Thuy commune on the occasion of the new academic year 2017-2018.

The district’s Military Command presented 78
bicycle worth nearly 120 million VND and 85 school bags worth over 20 million
VND along with 28 gift packages worth 300,000-500,000 VND each to students from
19 schools with outstanding academic performance.
All money used to buy bicycles and school bags
and provide scholarships for needy students was raised by the district’s
Military Command following the programme "Accompanying students to school”. The
unit raised money from military officers, soldiers, communal officials and
teachers.
Besides presenting bicycles, school bags and
gifts, the Military Command signed an agreement to sponsor four poor students,
supporting each 300,000 VND per month from the 2017-2018 school year.
