(HBO) - In recent years, all levels of Hoa Binh city’s Red Cross of have been strengthened and operated more effectively. The activities of the Red Cross at all levels have associated with the local movements and have always received the support of material and spirit from organizations, the enterprises and the benefactors in the area.
In the first 6 months of this year, Hoa Binh city’s Red
Cross has organized 2 voluntary blood donations, collecting 517 units of blood.
From the campaign "Every organization, individual
attaches to a humanitarian address", the Red Cross has surveyed and
prepared a monthly help file for 13 addresses with a total value of 15.6
million VND. They have built the Red Cross houses worth over 497 million VND
for 16 poor and disadvantaged households to live in Hoa Binh City and Lac Son
district. They have visited, encouraged and supported 8 families of the victims
of drowning and 1 household whose house has been burned down with the worth
of17 million VND. From the program "The Bank of Cows" they have
awarded one breeding cow to the member’s difficult household in Dan Chu commune
with the worth of 16 million VND.
In the first 6 months of the year, the activities of the
models for humanitarian assistance are also highly effective. Typically, the
"sharing meal" model has issued 5,750 rice meals, worth 103.5 million
VND in 3 medical facilities in the city. They have opened 2 fund boxes from the
model "The humanitarian fund box for the great meaning” at supermarket Vi
Hoa Binh and the Provincial General Hospital, earning over 9.9 million VND.
From the model "The burial fee", they have donated to support 17
member’s families whose members died over 30.2 million VND and 617 workdays
with the total estimated value of 91,975 million VND.
Besides, right from the beginning of the year, the city’s
Red Cross has built and developed the preventing and responding plan for
disasters according to the motto "4 in place" and have deployed to
the facilities of the Red Cross. At the same time, they have freely allocated
2,850 kg of rice to 26 households who suffered landslides due to the natural
disasters in 2017 - 2018 in Dong Tien ward with the worth of over 49 million
VND. Since the beginning of the year, the city’s Red Cross has organized 2
voluntary blood donations with more than 900 participants, collecting 517 units
of blood, worth over 73 million VND. The models of "The bank of living
blood" has been maintained the good urgent donation for emergency patients
who need blood at the Provincial General Hospital.
The achieved results are an important factor to build the
organization of the Red Cross stronger and stronger. Up till now there have
been 21,705 official members, 1,048 supporting members and 500 volunteers,
working at 23 facilities in The Red Cross of the City.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province held a conference on March 18 to review the performance of the "Safe and Happy School" Project and set out tasks for 2025. The project, funded by the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF), aims to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students. The event saw the attendance of representatives from the TFCF and 26 beneficiary schools.
