(HBO) - Mr. Bui The Thanh, Chief of Cao Phong district Police said: In September 2018, the district police investigated in Cao Phong town where 129 families installed cameras themselves. Cameras brought about effectiveness in preventing crimes. The district police proposed and on 24 September 2018, Cao Phong District People's Committee issued a Decision approving the investment policy for the project of installing cameras to monitor the security situation and traffic in Cao Phong district.

The project of installing camera system on highway 6 section from Bac Phong commune, Cao Phong town, Nam Phong commune to Tay Phong commune with 8.5 km. At 5 points, 6 cameras are arranged and operating from 10/10/2018. The monitor screens are located at the Cao Phong district Police.

When the project was implemented, a lot of organizations and individuals in Cao Phong district contributed 137 million VND. Cao Phong district Police installed 10 cameras. Thus, there are 16 cameras on the route. Cao Phong is the first district in Hoa Binh province to implement this model.

Since the implementation of the model, the number of criminal objects, drugs, buying and selling lots, deals and pawn purchases are not active. The number of incidents caused by this groups decreased compared to the previous. Conscious of traffic participants are raised and limited the number of collisions, as well as traffic accidents. The situation of motorbike theft in the province also decreased markedly.

This model received the consensus of officials and people in the district. By May 10, 2019, the whole district had 46 organizations and individuals contributing over 230 million VND. Police officers in Cao Phong district, Cao Phong town Plice and a number of units and individuals cleared trees along the road. 

According to the plan, in July 2019, Cao Phong district Police will take over and put into use 2 more cameras at the beginning and the end of the district.
