(HBO) - The Social Security Agency of Hoa Binh province organised a conference to update periodic information about social insurance and health insurance.

As of June 30, the number of people joining compulsory social insurance recorded an increase of 1,404 to 73,657, representing a year-on-year rise of 1.9 percent.

Meanwhile, an additional 2,053 people joined voluntary social insurance in the reviewed time, bringing the total number to 3,426, surging 149.5 percent against the same period last year.

As many as 60,844 people joined unemployment insurance, up 0.4 percent while 815,117 people joined health insurance, 6,121 people higher than the same period of 2018. The health insurance coverage hit 95.6 percent of the population.

The province’s revenues from social, health and unemployment insurance premiums reached 913 billion VND (39.32 million USD), up 119.2 billion VND (15 percent) from the same period last year, reaching 47.5 percent of the yearly plan assigned by the Vietnam Social Security (VSS).

The provincial Social Security Agency also defined key tasks in the remaining months of 2019, namely stepping up the collection of social insurance, health and unemployment insurance and reducing premium arrears.

The agency will also work to increase the number of people joining social insurance, health and unemployment insurance, especially voluntary social insurance and family health insurance.

Stepping administrative reform and application of information technology in management, professional software and e-transaction in social and health insurance premium collection are also viewed as significant tasks./.
