Leaders of
the Department of Education and Training present flowers and gifts to officials
who retired or moved to other positions.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Cuu recognized
and praised the efforts made by the education and training sector, while
agreeing with the nine major tasks and five groups of solutions to implement tasks
for the 2017-2018 academic year.
He noted that the sector should pay greater
attention to designing policies to improve the quality of education in
disadvantaged areas. The ratio of schools meeting national standards in the
province is still low in comparison with the national and regional average, he
said, stressing that it is a matter of concern for the province education and
training sector and localities. He also stressed the need to pay more attention
to quality of the teaching and learning of foreign languages. Along with
improving the standards of teachers, it is necessary to focus on comprehensive
quality, especially the teachers’ skills and sense of responsibility, he said.
On this occasion, the provincial People's
Committee presented flags to 38 collectives winning first place in the
emulation movement of completing tasks for the 2016-2017 academic year, along
with certificates of merit award to 65 collectives at second place and 60
collectives in the third place in the movement./.
