(HBO) – Vu Ban town in Lac Son district, Hoa Binh province, has solved on time 17,913 administrative procedures’ dossiers as well as publicised and reviewed 111 ones thanks to the implementation of administrative reform over the past two years.

Reforming administrative procedures has received due attention from local government in the recent past.

Mr. Pham Van Chien, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Vu Ban town, said defining administrative reform as one of the important and breakthrough solutions in socio-economic development, the local party and government have increased the leadership of party committees and the social supervision and criticism role of the People’s Council, Vietnam Fatherland Front’s chapter and organisations in the field.

Heads of administrative agencies must promote their responsibility for addressing administrative procedures according to the one-stop-shop mechanism and closely following the guidance of the district People’s Committee, he added.

The division of receiving and returning administrative results are tasked to ensure time and schedules to handle administrative procedures, he said.

The town has worked to improve the quality of public services according to the functions, tasks and powers assigned while coordinating with sectors to provide regular professional training for officials working at the division.

The reception and settlement of administrative procedures are carried out in accordance with legal regulations. Besides increasing accountability in implementing administrative reform, the town has simplified administrative procedures to create favourable conditions for organisations and people.

Since the beginning of this year, the People’s Committee of the town has reviewed regulations on administrative procedures as well as updated and supplemented the list of administrative procedures issued by the provincial People’s Committee.
