(HBO) – The education and training divisions of all districts in Hoa Binh province have held training courses for teachers and education managers to ensure that they have deeper insight into the new general educational curriculum, which will be carried out from the 2020-2021 new academic year.

First grade teachers in Yen Thuy district participate in a training course to update knowledge and skills to carry out the new general educational curriculum.

Since mid-July, the local education and training sector has organised a wide range of training courses to improve knowledge, skills and proficiency for education managers and teachers. Building a learning society, education for disabled children, health care at schools and swimming and prevention of child drowning are noticeable contents of training courses.

According to Vice Director of the provincial Department of Education and Training Bui Thi Kim Tuyen, in a bid to realise the project "Teaching and learning foreign languages in the national educational system” for 2018-2025, the sector has worked to build qualified and high-quality English-language teachers from the primary education level.

During the summer 2019, the department held training courses for primary English teachers, which focused on teaching approach in line with new curriculum, building an English learning environment at primary schools, and enhancing communication skills for students.

Besides, several key English teachers were sent to join Phonetics-LBUK courses in Hanoi, she added.

Furthermore, a political training course for local teachers was also held from July 15 to August 15./.
