Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong and staff members of the Party Central Committee Office on September 20 donated VND400 million in support of Doksuri storm victims.

A similar donation campaign was launched by the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

A delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front led by its President, Tran Thanh Man, visited and presented aid worth VND 1.6 billion VND to typhoon victims in central Quang Binh province.

Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) has mobilized more than half a billion VND in its donation campaign.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) also called on its officials and labourers nationwide to support storm victims.

Nearly VND100 million was raised from the VGCL staff on the day the call was made.

The storm, which killed 9 people and injured 215 others, was the most powerful in Vietnam over the past decade and left a damage bill worth VND11 trillion.
