HBO) - At the provincial General Hospital, the signing ceremony of the handover minute of the building of the Internal Medicine and anti-bacterial infection under the expansion project of the Provincial General Hospital was held.

The provincial General Hospital is receiving the handover of the building of the Department of the Internal Medicine and Anti-bacterial infection.

The project is funded by the Fund of Saudi Arabia. It has a scale of 180 patients’ beds, a total floor area of about 10,116 square meters with 9 floors (3.6 m each floor. It has a system of 3 elevators and 2 stairs. and 1 lift. The ground is arranged for 7 faculties. 

The first floor area of 1,050 square meters, is for Anti-bacterial Department, the second floor with the area of 1,079 square meters and the third floor with the area of 1,093 square meters are for the Hemodialysis Department, the fourth floor with the area of 1,094 square meters is for the Intensive care unit, the fifth and sixth floors with the area of 1,093 square meters is for the Department of Cardiology, the 7th floor with the area of 1,093 square meters is for the Clinical Hematology Department, the 8th floor with an area of 1,093 square meters is for the Endocrinology Department and the 9th floor with an area of 1,093 square meters is for the Department of Gastroenterology.

The building of the Department of Internal Medicine and anti-bacterial infection has been constructed and completed in 2 years, from December 2017 to December 2019. After the signing ceremony of the handover of the building, they will continue to hand over the additional equipment to complete the infrastructure. It is expected that the departments will complete relocating the physical facilities and patients to the new building and it will officially put into operation in the first quarter of 2020.
