Students at Song Da secondary school wear face masks. Their seats are arranged at a proper distance.

Director of the provincial Department of Education and Training Bui Thi Kim Tuyen said before allowing students to go back to school, the department proposed the provincial People's Committee issue a decision on adjusting the school time for the 2019-2020 academic year for all educational levels in the locality.

In particular, to ensure the safety of officials, teachers, and students, the education and training sector has continuously directed schools to seriously implement the directives of the government and the province on disease prevention and control, as well as avoid negligence.

The sector has devised appropriate solutions to cope with any circumstances. Schools were asked to map out plans for providing additional knowledge for 9th and 12th graders. Previously, the department had directed schools to be flexible, depending on their practical requirements to offer lessons via the internet and television for these students.

Nguyen Tien Duc, Vice Principal of Hoang Van Thu High School for Gifted Students, said most of the students were excited to come back school and they are aware of taking preventive measures such as wearing face masks on the way to school and during class.

Meanwhile, Vice Principal of Song Da Secondary School Vu Manh Ha said all Grade 9 students have returned to school with eagerness and high vigilance over the disease. All teachers and students have to wear face masks when at school.

Nguyen Mai Anh, a 9th grader of Song Da Secondary School, shared that she was very happy to come back school, adding that students still take preventive measures as guided by teachers./.
