(HBO) – The Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh province had received more than 11 billion VND (471,230 USD) in cash and kind as of May 27 in support of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Representatives of the Hoa Binh Fatherland Front Committee and T&T Group presented aid packages to poor people in Du Sang commune of Kim Boi district.
Some 180 organisations, 40 banks and firms, and 10
individuals donated a total of 2.83 billion VND in cash and goods worth 575 million
VND through the committee. Its chapters in districts and city have received
2.68 billion VND and goods worth 5.47 billion VND.
The committee previously set up three "Zero dong” shops in
Tan Lac, Lac Son and Da Bac districts, and raised 20 million VND for the
provincial General
Hospital.
It presented 20 electric fans and 40 boxes of instant
noodles to a quarantine centre of Regiment 814 of the Hoa Binh Military High
Command; along with other 50 boxes of instant noodles to the centre for social
welfare.
The committee also gave 500 relief packages worth 1 million
VND each to residents in Cao Phong and Kim Boi districts; 14,545 kg of rice to
Mai Chau, Yen Thuy and Lac Thuy; 1,250 bottles of disinfectant to Mai Chau, Yen
Thuy and Lac Thuy; 55,100 face masks to first responders in the fight against
the disease.
The Fatherland Front chapters in districts and city also
distributed the donations to people hurt by COVID-19./.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Binh province held a conference on March 18 to review the performance of the "Safe and Happy School" Project and set out tasks for 2025.
