(HBO) – As of 10am on June 1, Hoa Binh province had not yet reported any case positive for the SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19, said the provincial steering committee on COVID-19 prevention and control.

Even so, Hoa Binh continues to exert efforts to prevent the disease. In the recent past, there were 128 suspected cases. The provincial health sector conducted testing for 120 out of the 128 cases, with four having their samples taken twice, while eight not meeting standards for sample collection.

Test results showed that 124 out of 126 samples tested negative for COVID-19, while the other two failed to meet testing requirements.

All the suspected cases were quarantined and treated in accordance with guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Now they have been discharged from the hospital.

The province has efficiently quarantined suspected cases and high-risk people at concentrated facilities of the province and districts and city.

It also called on people to make and verify health declarations on the NCOVI app and COVID-19 monitoring system.

As of June 1, a total of 23,215 people made their voluntary health declarations, of which 1,324 cases were verified.

Hoa Binh has continued to closely follow instructions of the Government and the national steering committee on COVID-19 prevention and control in the new context./.
