(HBO) - The People's Committee of Tan Lac District has just held the Launching Ceremony of "The Month of Action for Children”, every person practices swimming to preventing from drowning and opened of the Traditional ưSwimming Tournament in 2020 of Tan Lac district.

The organizing committee are awarding trophies, medals and souvenir flags to the athletes of Nhan My Commune (Tan Lac).

The launching ceremony of "The Action month for children”, the whole population has taken up swimming practice to prevent from drowning and the Traditional Swimming Tournament is meaningful and practical activity, propagating the benefits and the role of swimming, which gradually reduces drowning injuries in the community, especially among the children. At the same time, it helps to raise the awareness and the responsibility of the families and the community in caring, educating and protecting the children, creating a safe and healthy living environment for the children to be fully developed... 

On this occasion, the People's Committee of the district has presented 20 gifts to the students of Kim Dong Secondary School with exceptionally difficult circumstances. At the ceremony, a large number of students and people have been equipped with knowledge and skills of drowning.

Right after the launching ceremony, over 80 athletes competed in the district's Traditional Swimming Tournament in 2020. This tournament attracted 16 delegations from the communes and the town in the district. They competed in 4 events including male and female champion, young male and female champion. At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded medals, trophies, and souvenir flags to the excellent individuals and teams in the contents. The results are as follow: The first prize for the whole group was awarded to Nhan My commune, the second one was awarded to Suoi Hoa commune, the third one was awarded to Phong Phu commune.
