(HBO) – The Women’s Union of Tan Lac district recently held a ceremony to launch an anti-plastic waste programme and introduce a pilot model of "Saying ‘no’ to plastic waste” in Zone 7 of Man Duc township.

hands over plastic handbaskets to members of the model "Saying ‘no’ to plastic
waste” in Zone 7 of Man Duc township (Tan Lac district).
At the launch ceremony, the danger of plastic waste and bags
was disseminated to members of the union and local people.
Departments, sectors, organisations, entrepreneurs and
individuals are urged to join hands in the environmental protection. People are
asked to raise public awareness on the harm of plastic waste so as to create
positive changes in the work and cut down on the use of plastic bags towards
getting rid of the habit. They are also encouraged to use
environmentally-friendly and multi-use products.
Local people are called on to join the campaign on hygiene
and environmental protection in families, residential areas and roads.
At the event, the women’s union of the district presented 83
plastic handbaskets to members of the model "Saying ‘no’ to plastic waste” in
Zone 7./.
